Dinky model #512 guy flatbed truck with a box (not correct)

Please note that although this comes with a box it is not for the correct model. It also appears that the screw on the base may not be original.

This model is early being produced from 1948 until 1954. The model has excellent paint which has very few signs of age. The paintwork is complete with no chipping or scratching. The tow hook is present with no damage which is often not the case. The tyres are perfect with no wear or cracking. The spare tire is still fitted underneath. We are unsure if the screw on the base holding the front wheels is correct as it sits high. However, this doesn't detract from the quality of the item. We have reflected the screw dilemma in the price.

The model came to us in the box shown in the images. We believe due to the rarity of this item the collector chose to box it incorrectly in order to preserve the truck. The box is in good order even though it is incorrect.

This is a beautiful model which is very hard to find in these colours. A beautiful item ideal for a collector.
